The Soul of the Earth
1982.01.17
90 x 70, oil on canvas

Shipwreck
1982
140 x 90, oil on canvas
The unconscious is an inner sea in which part of you has already shipwrecked and in which, rather, more of you sinks and drowns every day. Yet, it is only a part, a skin. Who is the unconscious, the potent being who breathes galaxies, and whose arm is a turbine? But does he cry for help, too? No, he simply wonders and gets emotional when light invades him.

The Helmsman
1982
140 x 90, oil on canvas
Thus proceeds the soul in its navigation through life: seeking inside itself, not forward; one would say, rather in the opposite direction that the world has chosen. And it advances, like a ship would towards the vague lights of dawn; the winged guide of the spirit dwells in it.
