The Conception
1994.03.10
150 x 200, acrylic on canvas

The painting has been remade
1995.03.08

This is the pale image of a love intercourse. See how the painting has become intensely dramatic afterwards.

The Island
1994.03.11
100 x 150, acrylic on canvas
I believe to be an island: an obscure island in the ocean of life, even if above and in the centre shines the sun of the Divine. I turn my back to the Angel of Light, who is bringing a spiritual aurora.
In front of me there is the tempest.

                                                                          Birth
                                                                          1994.03.10
                                                                          200 x 300, acrylic on canvas

From a man to a woman, and from the woman to another human beingwho is granted life from her. For life to be possible, an angel must infuse it with its breath and, with a sweeping gesture, realise the divine circularity of it all. It is the image of a conception (the souls that long to be born, which are also described by Plato, flutter all around the scene) and of a birth. And this is how it all happens, holding one another by the hand, as in a game, as in a dance...
