  Male and Female
1990.09
140 x 200, acrylic on paper mounted on canvas

How abundant are the talents in a woman! It is as breasts with which to suckle new life By comparison, men are rapacious and harsh. This is also true of the relation-ship between a lucid mind (shown by the red square in the painting) and a love which, like a spiral, induces harmony and generates life.

  The Abduction of Persephone
1990.09.20
165 x 226, acrylic on paper mounted on canvas

The maiden descended towards the shadows, like a fading moon, but her life will, alternately, make her live in Hades and on Earth. Here she will be the wondrous copy of a new life. Stands apart, contorted with grief. I never realised that the alternating of love and grief was the life of my soul.
