  The Swimmer (Liberation)
1990.06
200 x 240, oil on canvas, in 5 parts

You flee from me towards a new life while I desperately try to cling to you like a swimmer who is almost spent. But God who watches over us and inspires your flight, tells us that it is the Soul to leap towards new life, while the weary body lags behind, to be reab-sorbed into nothingness. Between the two, between the Body and the Soul which flees from it, there appears the blank page of destiny that is yet to be written.

    Creation (with an empty panel)
1991
200 x 200, acrylic on canvas, in 3 parts

In this case, the fact that only three canvases were available has determined the composition, thus obliging the feminine figure to adapt herself.
