Town-Plan

The plan forecasts the development of a fluid viability in the zone between the perimeter of the old city walls and the hills, expecting for the present outskirts to be substituted ,with time, with a green belt.
Please note the highway's layout beneath the Arno.

Regional-Plan

Destining Florence's historical centre to an Internanational University of Art, may bring about considerable problems connected with the elimination of an active centre for the population's life. However, the solution to this must be sought in an Urban-plan of greater scale, from Florence to Pisa. The new metropolis of Tuscany must develop in this dimension, with its new ultra-modern centre, and with today's Florence constituting only one of its parts, dedicated to the young, to culture, and tourism.
The crossroad between the A1 Highway (Autostrada del Sole) and the A11 (Florence-Sea) traces, in a much larger scale, the same sacred crossing which, in the past, had witnessed the birth of the ancient city of Florentia. The plan also outlines a great scale extensive grid of highways, in whose meshes homogeneous communities may develop. (°)
